ARDEX Butynol Roofing Membrane is manufactured by ARDEX in Christchurch since 1967,the new Christchurch Airport terminal has been covered with 1.5mm Dove Grey Butynol.

Ardex Butynol is a synthetic rubber membrane with properties which resist ageing from heat, sunlight and ozone. It has excellent gas impermeability and toughness and remains flexible at low temperatures, and against water, moisture vapour, gases, sun, ozone, frost, acids, chemicals and bacteria.

ARDEX Butynol® is used as a single layer membrane in horizontal or vertical applications for waterproofing decks, roofs and gutters. It is primarily applied to the outside of a sub-structure of a building to prevent water ingress.

Typical applications are roof membranes, external balconies and decks (protected) gutter linings, water containment (i.e. pillow tanks, reservioirs, pond liners), below grade applications.
